What’s with this SMS thingy?!?!

  • When Pierre Gemayel was assassinated, messages were sent to make the people attend the funeral in Martyr Square telling them “Do you want Weam Wahhab, Suleiman Franjieh-some other names here-to be your ministers in the future?? Then participate next Thursday(23/11/06)” (Unfortunately I deleted the message and I can’t recall all the names or the exact message text).
  • Last Friday(30-11-06: the night before the opposition protest), a while after Sanyoura’s speech and his request to put the Lebanese flag on every balcony to support the government, messages again were sent asking the people to get the flags if they love Lebanon.
  • Now, this:”Visit our new OPEN ZOO in Riad el Soloh for FREE; be aware they eat people”.

Update(10-12-2006 12:30 AM): Another message was circulating the Lebanese phones after the Gemayel assassination: “Enough is enough! To get rid of the murderers of our beloved martyrs, tell all your Lebanese friends to be there tomorrow at 12. If you are not coming you are being on the killer’s side”.
Pathetic!!!!!

A small attempt to upload “something”, only these photos managed to get here.
Location: Bchara Alkhoury/Ras AlNabea-couple of hundred meters away from Martyr and Ryad Alsoloh squares.
Time: 2-12-2006, 8:03 PM(first) and 9:00 PM(second) (Beirut’s Time)-second day of the protest against Sanyoura’s cabinet.
Description: protestors parked their cars in the middle of the street and headed towards both squares.

It was great…I’m just glad I participated…I was in martyr’s square because by the time I got there, Ryad AlSoloh’s square was full ….I couldn’t upload any pictures because of my lousy connection but I will soon…

I was impressed most by having only Aoun speak(as a major figure)…very smart move…and it proved their(FPM) prescence which was massive unlike what others said and that it’s not just about Hezbullah and Amal anymore(I won’t say Shiites because I’m a Sunnite).

I saw in the news later some reporters were at the Syrian borders…guys…you used that in 3-8…and it didn’t work…can’t you be more creative?! and about counting the ratios of the Shiites, Christians and Druze…just lame and so “out of new ideas to look good” and you even got the ratios wrong!!!

I’ve always tried to avoid political posts in my blog but I just wanted to say I was there 🙂

OM

According the Sivananda Yoga Website and their definition of the OM, there is no symbol more powerful than the syllable OM (pronounced AUM), as witnessed by these words from the Mandukya Up-anishad :

    “OM: this eternal word is all; what was, what is and what shall be.”

In the Sanskrit letter shown in the photo, the OM symbol is composed of 5 parts:

  • The long lower curve in the 3-like symbol represents the dream state.
  • The smaller upper curve represents the wake state.
  • The curve going out from between the two curves represents the deep, dreamless sleep.
  • The crescent above stands for “maya”, it’s the veil of illusion.
  • The dot represents the transcendental state.

When the individual spirit in man passes through the veil and rests in the transcendental he is liberated from the three states and their qualities. I hope I’ll reach the dot soon…

In the yoga class, we start the session by chanting the sound OM(AUM), this sound is believed to be the very first sound in the universe, it starts with the sound A (like when you open your mouth to a doctor/dentist*) and it comes out from the abdomen, then the U (like when you say Ohh*) and it comes out from the chest, and finally the M (it’s an ordinary M) which comes out from the throat and we feel the vibration there….
According to this, The A, U and M represents the wake state, dream state and the dreamless sleep state respectively.

I put this symbol as my profile photo to remind myself to work on reaching the dot and I’ll keep it when I reach it to remind myself to keep me there…

For those who love challenges…

Into quizzes and challenges?! do you like to solve riddles, crack softwares,hack websites or find secret doors or passages?! or do you have a good sense of analyzing images maybe?!

Try to find the passwords on these sites’ levels using anything you like..no rules..just get the darn passwords

GodTower– series of towers(levels) you climb one by one…by getting a password out of the clues given in the picture on each tower, some challenges give you another picture as a hint..just check if there’s a black arrow above the picture..and don’t forget to check the rules before you start…really interesting..I remember reaching level thirty something…now I’m starting all over..(better with IE. With Firefox, the challenge is aligned to the left…I don’t know why)

Net-Force– more computer/programming oriented….but some categories can be solved by anyone who knows just how to Google….there are no levels in this one..and for each category…they give you a challenge with its solution as a tutorial, check their tools library for helping applications too…I loved the cavaj one(converting a .class file to .java…hehehe yeah..the opposite of javac) and always remember: the title of the challenge tells you ALOT about the password..always look at the title….I solved around twenty something challenges.

I miss these sites….by the way…Shogo is the one who told me about them…

The Gun Silencers…

I knew I heard something about gun silencers going to the US embassy a while ago….I thought myself imagining stuff untill Bashir talked about it too! Check Bech too…

Pierre Gemayel was assassinated and the guns had silencers..hmmmm…weird!!!

Sleiman was talking: he said it doesn’t make sense…Samir was talking: Lahoud must go…Saed was talking: Syria (duh!) Junblat at the hospital: mabadna fetne da7’leyye…a guy told him something which obviously made him wake away really angry(I couldn’t hear it..I listened to it twice) Ameen: we must pray…

“sla7..kawatem…hey…there was something about these that has to do with the states getting some and waleed eedo or fatfat said that they were brought for airguns or something? damn my memory..I hate news!”

But it sure brought 14 March back to their strong position(it sounds inappropriate but this was their life jacket)…the others were planning to go to the streets..it’s a more effective way and it was working and everything was going just fine for them…why would they kill? and how come there was no security or enough protection when they warned from such events earlier? not to mention it was daytime..ya3ne there should be at least people instead of guards…one of the guards survived as I heard..I would like to hear what happened from him…it’s strange that nobody has mentioned Nasrallah & Iran yet (I’m sure someone will say it by the time I finish writing this I’m not worried about it)
