A friend said and i quote:
1-Our youth only cares about two things:
–politics: and they know no shit about it!!
–sex: for just the sake of sex!2-Finding a young man/lady who cares about his/her career, life, future or education is very rare.
3-People who actually care, live(d) alone or abroad sometime in their life so they learned what responsibility means.
So? he’s right?! wrong?!

i agree with number one.
as for two, i have met many young Lebanese who care about nothing but their careers. well it depends i guess what he means by “young”..how young?
i have lived in Lebanon for three years still cannot learn what responsibility means 😀
you learn it simply when you are financially independent, i guess.
i think it depends on the types of people you have encountered in your life ,however it seems very plausible that in order to have responsibilty you should go through tough experiences like living on your own or outside your country ,
just my opinion..
razan you met many?!?! well that’s great!! 🙂 *phew*
1 is so true i agree with that too
and yes responsibility is not here (this is my fourth year in Lebanon)
i feel responsible although i’m still depending on my parents financially…halla2 okay i don’t act upon that sometimes but i try
yaser, i agree with you. but it’s really sad that a young man/lady need to go through tough experience(s) in order to grow up!!! because point #1 always comes first in their minds!
I think they all true, but we cannot just blame our youth, we should blame the system, and the system that make them only think and act from number 1 to number 3. I agree and it irritate me that I was like that (I am still but less) I got angry when I think how I was wastin my time in my country, because there is nothing to do….but I agree, based on my personal experience though…
100 %
my opinion
1 is very true
As for 2 and 3, i don’t agree it is not very rare to find a young man/lady who cares about career or education.
Living alone and abroad doesn’t have to do with it, a lot of people who live alone and abroad get themselves in deep troubles on all sorts of levels because of lack of responsability.
I believe that caring about such things and the sense of responsability comes with maturity so it depends on how much one has of it at a certain age whether he’s abroad, alone or still living with his parents.
dancing solo,
yes it’s the damn society and system!
isam,
100% true or false?!
rany, maturity, hmmm a really good point, didn’t look at it this way, .bas still, our youth lacks it right?!
i know its late but plz excuse me,
first one is half right, they care about sex but not on politics they just want the peace,, however was it !
second one is not, many ppl like and care about their career and their education to reach other needs..
the third one is damn right, im living alone and now i just felt what the meaning of taking care of the money i have(manni bakhili) and taking fast decisions alone..Afnan
100 % true …
I lived my entire univ years on campus away from afamily ,,, so i know …
afnan, not late 🙂 you’re welcome at any time…i’m really glad that there are many who don’t agree with too..kind of relieving 🙂 although in my surroundings, i find it somehow true..it’s rare…not impossible but rare…
isam, my friend lived away from his family as well…we were talking about another friend who’s almost 25 now and still playing around, got a job but wasting the money on not important stuff….that’s how he explained the case…
He’s right!WE ARE A WASTED GENERATION! We were let out into the world too unexpectedly and it has caused a shock and major loss of purpose. Only a minority are aware of that strange and very important thing called.. LIFE!
He’s wrong
