O2a was talking (here) about an egyptian village called “Om Alrashrash” and got this AlArabeyya link. In short, the village is occupied…thank god nobody said anything else (in the future with such people..who knows!). The problem is that a guy said in the Egyptian Parliament last Monday(18-12-2006) that this village is not included within the Egyptian borders and that’s it’s Palestenian. So accordingly, an organization that was founded (15 years ago) to free that land objected and attacked this statement saying that it’s Egyptian and they have the documents to prove it. So now “Om Alrashrash” (“Ilat” as it’s renamed by the zionists) is used as a sea port and there’s this project to connect the dead sea to this village too and the Egyptians are fighting about the ownership!!
The real problem is in the comments!!!!! Here is a sample:
And there’s much more in the article about how it was excluded in Camp David and this peace thing!!…. Akle takel heik Arab!!!
I don’t know why I remembered this song: “سيناء رجعت كاملة لينا…مصر اليوم في عيد“

I dunno but I kinda noticed that in EVERY Arabic and/or Muslim country, there has to be a land or a fault at stake for foreign parties to interfere in… and for politics to play a major role and create a fuss and ruckus and once again make people kill and hate each other without looking at the concept and realizing the people behind the scenes and the crap they’re in and what they’re doing and in what direction they’re going in the end!
Just think of it!
Iran vs UAE about some islands;
Syria vs Lebanon about some territory;
Egypt as portrayed in the post and Palestine (or Israel, whatever).
What else? There’s more I’m sure, I just can’t recall them now!
just an advice:
NEVER (repeat NEVER), read comments on news websites, u’ll think of committing suicide (God forbid 😛 )
wa7yat allah ya hilal awwal post hayda kenet 2reeto elsobo7..3al sa3a 8…fa2asne kel elnhar…the same scenario again and again…wel comments….yiiiiiiii…your advice saret b frame w m3al2a 3al 7eit my friend 😀 thanks 😀
true true 😀
Layal let’s speak logic ,you know me very well how I feel regarding Israel ,but let’s say the truth
Um El-Rasharsh was taken before 1948 and 1967
The only port to Israel on the red sea and its connection to Asia, and more important it is the Military harbor too
Do you think that would they have given to us in Camp David as easy as this ?? really I am sorry those people are speaking in illusions of getting back it
I am sorry if we are going to talk about the national security what about the Oasises the crazy man of Lybia took and turn in to a fortune of Oil ??
or even better why those people don’t speak seriiously about the P.O.W of 1956 0r 1967?? or why the defeat of 1967 took place asking for files to be revealed publicly?
I do think this land is Egyptian but we are not going to take it except but by huge war
Egypt could have done everything…you WON a war and you defeated their army…so having a “huge war” has already happened… where was the problem?! I was really angry about the comments…about giving it up just to avoid conflict…elle howwa 7’alas we7na malna beha f dahya…that was the theme of the comments…
it’s hard to take it back I know…but that doesn’t not mean that the issue should be discarded just to be on the safe side….
and why it’s an illusion? dear Zeinobia I’ve always admired your analysis and way of thinking (and I still do) you are right the other issues should be handled as well….but you had Sinai occupied and you got it back through a huge war and later got Taba back which was important as well…so why not continue?!
Please don’t feel offended that wasn’t my intention…I was just pissed off by the comments and that attitude of “7’alehalhom we7na malna” which is happening here in Lebanon too regarding Sheb’aa farms.
Layal take my advice and don’t read the retarded comments in Al-arabya
sheb’aa farms situation is much more better than Eliat or Um El-Rashah because there is international resolution regarding it as a land from 1967 ,the 242 if we talk in general ,in specific it is a lebanese land and the maps prove so,
there is misunderstanding El-Rashash is outside Eilat for about 10 KM
the Israelis would never give it back even in camp david, already they hardly gave up Taba after going the IJC
Layal another important ignored fact for many that the Egyptians weren’t traitors who gave up their land or their loyalty ,I am talking about Sadaat cabinet ,not the current one and its achievement one thing for sure if Sadaat were live he wouldn’t permit the July war,in fact I believe that he was killed by the Mossad as a preparation to the invasion of Lebanon , the camp David wasn’t a simple one , I watched president Carter and how he described how every part was insisting on what they want without a comprise ,so even if they left this village I understand why
This village is considered a national security area to Israel exposing their harbor do you think after giving up Sinai with all what it represents to them religiously then they would give up Um El-Rashash ??!!
, already in the report they said it is as the size of Golan hights despite I doubt this because I know that it was a small village
Sheb’aa is better as I said because you are sure of its identity ,you got international resolutions
Zeinobia don’t get me wrong…I didn’t say that the Egyptian people are traitors…these comments were written by Egyptian, Palestinian, Saudi and many others….so again…i was not attacking the egyptian people ..i was attacking this denying attitude which has many nationalities(including some egyptians)…and Sheb’aa is the same for me…I mean with all these international resolutions and Junblat (and many agrees) says it’s not Lebanese..so it’s worse for me…and these Lebanese are traitors as well…
please understand that I wrote this as Layal who lived 13 years of her life in Egypt…I wrote this by my Egyptian spirit…and I hate to see this happening…it’s your land and you should get it back even it’s area is 1m2….
they gave up Taba hardly…so they can give this up too….they can be defeated dear if the Arabs(at least the leaders) would stand up together and it’s not a hard thing to do…
…the zionists want it…well “yetfel2o” because they shouldn’t have it 🙂
Does anyone believe there’s actually going to be a peaceful solution to these kind of issues? Seems like a “Kum-ba-ya” fantasy to me.
